CABANAS
We specialise in roofing for cabanas, Bali huts, gazebos, pool houses, rotundas + boathouses
Inspire’s synthetic slate roofing tiles are growing rapidly in popularity for use on cabanas, Bali huts, pool houses, rotundas, gazebos and boathouses. Although still a fairly new approach to roofing construction, these synthetic tiles offer the complete package - durability, flexibility, weather-resistance, easy installation, affordability + a timeless, classy look and feel. It’s no wonder then that demand has quite literally gone through the roof in recent months.
Inspire’s synthetic slate roofing tiles are perfectly designed to withstand Australia’s harsh climate. For those living up north in tropical climates (or across the waters in Bali etc.), you can trust that Inspire’s roofing tiles will withstand the extreme heat, storms, winds + hail that you’ve become accustomed to. For those living in coastal areas, you can sleep easy knowing that these tiles will also resist salt attack. Likewise, those living in cooler climates will find this roofing material is able to withstand the frosts and cool, harsh winters.
13 REASONS TO USE INSPIRE’S ROOFING TILES FOR YOUR NEXT BALI HUT PROJECT:
Weather Resistant
Inspire’s synthetic slate tiles have been independently tested + rated to withstand winds of up to 175 km/hour. This makes it a great choice for those living in tropical storm + cyclone prone areas such as North Queensland or for those living further afield in places like Bali, or elsewhere in Indonesia or the Pacific. For those building or renovating shacks in Tasmania or those braving the cool weather to create your dream home design or renovation project, know that Inspire’s roofing slates have also been designed to withstand cold weather, as well as the warm. Independent testing has been carried out to ensure the tiles are in fact freeze + thaw resistant. As a bonus, they’re also hail resistant, see below.
2. Easy to Install
The tiles are easy to install with minimal tools + construction experience required. For those looking for a quick and easy construction job, or a DIY adventure, this roofing material will make your project that little bit simpler. Inspire roofing tiles can be fixed by hammer + nail or simply with a nail gun.
3. Virtually Indestructible
Those who experienced the infamous hail storm that caused mass destruction across Sydney + beyond in 1999, and again in 2018, would understand the frustrations associated with replacing or repairing hail damaged roofs. Fortunately, Inspire’s synthetic slate roofing tiles have the timeless look and feel associated with traditional roofing slate, but come without the maintenance woes. These innovative tiles are far stronger than natural slate and have been designed and engineered specifically to withstand hail and survive being dropped or trodden on. We have had them independently tested to ensure this is the case.
4. 100% Recyclable
Inspire roofing slates are a composite of recyclable plastic and dolomitic limestone. Each tile has a random texture and chamfered edges of natural slate. Matching accessories are available – ridges, vents, verge cappings. So for those looking for a roofing solution that is gentle on the environment, Inspire’s synthetic roofing tiles are a great option.
5. Colour matched to natural slate
While we all appreciate the profound beauty of natural slate, it’s hard to overlook the cost and fragility of these roofing tiles when designing a low maintenance, durable and affordable roof. Inspire’s roofing shingles were engineered using modern technology to overcome the challenges faced by natural slate roofing. Whilst ensuring Inspire’s products offer durability, weather resistance, affordability and other such perks, they have also been designed to mimic the prestigious and elegant look and feel of natural slate roofing, offering you a timeless AND durable roofing solution.
6 + 7. Durable (with a 40-year warranty) and Low Maintenance
Unlike traditional slate tiles, Inspire roofing tiles won’t corrode or crack, split or break when dropped. Being virtually unbreakable and light to lift makes this roofing material incredibly easy to handle during construction and hassle-free to transport. Additionally, they are incredibly easy to maintain, with the surface designed specifically to resist mould and make scratches hard to see. Together with their incredible strength and fade-resistance, your cabana, Bali hut or tiny house roof will require little to no maintenance during your lifetime and the tiles shouldn’t need replacing at any point. In addition, all our roofing products come with a 40-year warranty - that’s how sure we are that they’ll survive the test of time.
8. Flexible
When in comes to the construction of cabanas, Bali huts, gazebos and other such buildings, flexibility is key. Inspire’s roofing shingles have been designed + engineered to ensure each tile is flexible and therefore easier to work with. This makes them the ideal material for a curved roof or Bali hut, gazebo or pool house.
9. Affordable
Inspire roofing is an affordable way of achieving a prestigious outcome and a classical look and feel. With each roofing tile costing less than slate, you can feel comfortable knowing that you’ll be left with a beautiful + durable roof that won’t blow the budget.
10. Lightweight
The roofing material is lightweight and incredibly easy to handle, making delivery + installation a breeze. Each Inspire roofing shingle weighs around a quarter the weight of an equivalent sized natural slate tile. This will save you from needing to install extra roofing support during construction, and will ultimately save you time and money.
11 + 12. Colourfast and Fire Retardant + Resistant
Unlike traditional tiling, these roofing tiles won’t fade. They are not only UV resistant, but also flame-retardant. This means the colour extends all the way through each tile (rather than sitting on the surface only), ensuring fading doesn’t occur. Independent testing was carried out to determine just how UV resistant the tiles were, with findings showing no sign of cracking, crazing, chalking, pitting or discolouration after the 2000 hours UV exposure. Test was also carried out to ensure that Inspire’s roofing slates comply with the ASTM E108 requirements for both Class A and C fire ratings.
13. Beach Friendly - Salt Attack Resistant
Independent testing indicates that Inspire’s roofing material is able to resist exposure to salt. The roofing material showed no sign of decay, colour loss or any other change which may affect its performance during testing.
